The ‘German School of Ft. Lauderdale’ has close ties with the ‘German Speaking Group of Ft. Lauderdale’. This group of moms and playgroup gathers weekly at various public parks in Broward County.
By now, more than 45 German speaking families are organized in this group. Carnivals, lantern festivals, and Christmas plays have become yearly traditions and are always a great success. In fact, we are able to preserve ourselves a piece of our ‘Heimat’, and our children become acquainted with the German language, customs, and traditions.
