We are pleased to offer the following program in the school year of 2011/2012:
• "AATG National German Examinations" (administered by the 'American Association of teachers of German')
• "Deutsches Sprachdiplom der Kultusministerkonferenz" (administered by the 'National agency for schools abroad'
The "German School of Ft. Lauderdale" became a member of the partner school initiative – “Schools: Partner for the Future”, launched by the German Federal Ministry in 2008 in order to build up a worldwide network of German schools abroad and schools offering the German Language Certificate.
Important Dates in 2012:
2. January: 1st day of school
7. January: AATG Test
14. & 16. January: M. L. King Day, no school
18. & 20. February: President's Day, no school
11. - 17. March: spring break
24. March: German Sprachdiplom DSD oral test
6. - 8. April: Easter, no school
19. May: last school day in school year 2011/2012 20. May: Year's end party
28. May: Memorial Day, no kindergarten
4. July: Independence Day, no kindergarten
